A harmony of cerulean blues, golden ochres, and accents of lime green, this work captures movement in both sea and soul. The painterly strokes are fluid yet controlled, with textured layering that suggests rippling water and drifting clouds. The sisters’ bold jewelry and patterned garments punctuate the composition, while their expressions remain contemplative. Artist’s Note
After two years in Goa, I discovered its truest side beyond postcard beaches, in Mapusa markets, the sleepy lanes of Saligao, nets cast in Siolim, and vendors with baskets of mangoes and cucumbers under village bridges.
This is the Goa that inspires me: everyday beauty, rooted people, and fleeting gestures. Sisters of Saligao is born from this quieter Goa, from sisters who share fruit, silence, and dreams of tomorrow.
