1. Do you offer custom artwork and commissions?

Yes. Loka Loka Studio creates fully custom, hand-painted artworks built around your space and style. That might be a bold abstract piece for a living room, a floral canvas for a bedroom, or a large-scale work for a commercial space. We paint it from scratch using artist-grade acrylic or oil paints on stretched cotton canvas. Custom pricing starts at Rs. 3,000 per square foot, and we offer special rates for architects, interior designers, real estate developers, and hotels commissioning multiple pieces. To get started, fill out the custom art request form on our commissions page with your preferred size, colour palette, and any reference images. We reply within 48 hours with a quote and timeline. Most custom orders are finished within 6-8 weeks, depending on complexity and size.

2. How do I place an order for a painting?

Ordering from Loka Loka Studio is simple. Browse our collections: Sisters of Saligao, The Red Theory, Whispers of Eden, The Oracle's Circus, and Legs for Days. Pick the artwork you love, choose your preferred size (Small 12x12 in, Medium 18x24 in, Large 24x36 in, or X-Large 36x48 in) and format (rolled canvas or stretched on frame), then proceed to checkout. We accept all major credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking, and international payment options. For custom commissions, submit a request through our contact form describing your vision, preferred dimensions, and colour palette. Every painting is made to order by hand, so your piece is created specifically for you after you place your order.

3. Can I customize the size of an existing painting?

Yes, most artworks in our collections can be resized to fit your wall. Since every Loka Loka painting is hand-painted to order rather than pulled from pre-made stock, we can adapt any design to your dimensions, from a compact 12x12-inch piece for a small nook to a 48x60-inch canvas as a living room centrepiece. We will confirm whether the composition works at that size and send an updated quote. Custom sizing may affect pricing depending on the final dimensions, but there is no additional charge for standard size adjustments within our regular size range.

4. How long does it take to complete a custom order?

Custom artworks from Loka Loka Studio typically take 6-8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery. This timeline covers the full process: an initial consultation to finalise your design brief, the hand-painting itself in acrylic or oil on canvas, drying and quality inspection, and careful packaging for shipping. Larger or more detailed pieces sit at the upper end of that range, especially oil paintings, which need longer drying time. We send progress photos while the painting is underway, so you can watch your artwork take shape. Once the painting is complete and approved, domestic shipping within India takes an additional 7-10 days, and international shipping takes 2-4 weeks depending on your location.

5. Do you ship across India and internationally?

Yes. Loka Loka Studio ships handmade paintings across India with free shipping on all orders, and we ship internationally to over 50 countries. Domestic orders are delivered within 7-10 business days via trusted courier partners with full tracking provided. International shipping is available at additional cost, which varies with your country, artwork size, and weight. Since rates depend on the destination, we ask international customers to send us a message before ordering so we can work out the exact shipping cost for you. We ship to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, UAE, Singapore, and most of Europe, among other destinations. Every painting is carefully packaged with protective wrapping, corner guards, and sturdy outer packaging so it arrives in perfect condition. For international orders we recommend ordering rolled canvases rather than stretched paintings. Rolled canvases ship in protective tubes, which keeps shipping costs down and removes the risk of frame damage in transit.

6. How long does shipping take?

Shipping timelines depend on your location and whether the artwork is ready-to-ship or made to order. For domestic orders within India, delivery takes 7-10 business days from the date of dispatch. International orders typically take 2-4 weeks depending on the destination country and customs processing. All shipments include tracking information sent to your email so you can monitor your delivery in real time. For custom or made-to-order paintings, add the 6-8 week production time before shipping begins. We dispatch orders from our studio in India and use reliable logistics partners for both domestic and international deliveries. 7. Will my painting arrive ready to hang?

For domestic orders within India, yes. Your painting arrives on a stretched canvas with a built-in wooden frame, ready to hang straight out of the box. We use kiln-dried wooden stretcher bars that keep the canvas taut and warp-free over time. For international orders, paintings ship as rolled canvases in protective tubes to prevent damage during long-distance transit. You can take a rolled canvas to any local framer to be stretched, or buy stretcher bars online and do it yourself. It is a straightforward job. We include care instructions with every order. All paintings are wrapped in acid-free tissue paper, bubble wrap, and sturdy cardboard packaging to ensure they arrive in pristine condition regardless of shipping method.

8. What payment methods do you accept?

Loka Loka Studio accepts a wide range of payment methods to make purchasing art convenient for customers in India and worldwide. For Indian customers, we accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), UPI payments (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), net banking from all major Indian banks, and wallet payments. For international customers, we accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and other international cards processed securely through Shopify Payments. Every transaction is encrypted and processed through a secure payment gateway, and we never store your card details. 9. Do you offer returns or exchanges?

Since each Loka Loka painting is a handmade original created specifically for your order, we do not accept returns or exchanges under normal circumstances. Every piece is one of a kind, hand-painted in acrylic or oil on canvas, and cannot be resold as new once delivered. We do stand behind our work. If your artwork arrives damaged in shipping, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and the packaging. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you. For custom commissions, we share progress photos and get your approval before shipping, so you can request adjustments before the piece is finalised. If anything about your order concerns you, tell us and we will make it right.

10. Are these original paintings or prints?

Every piece at Loka Loka Studio is an original, hand-painted artwork, never a print, poster, digital reproduction, or mass-produced copy. We paint each canvas by hand using artist-grade acrylic or oil paints on stretched cotton canvas. Because every painting is made to order, each one carries subtle variations in brushwork, texture, and colour depth that make it one of a kind. That is what separates Loka Loka from companies selling printed reproductions or giclee prints labelled as "art." You are buying a painting with visible brushstrokes, a textured surface, and the character only handmade work carries. Available sizes range from Small (12x12 in) to X-Large (36x48 in), with prices starting at Rs. 2,800. We ship across India for free and internationally to over 50 countries.

11. What type of paint and canvas do you use?

Loka Loka Studio primarily uses two types of paint: artist-grade acrylic paints and oil paints, both chosen for their vibrancy, durability, and archival quality. Acrylic paintings dry faster and produce bold, vivid colours with strong lightfastness, so they resist fading from sunlight over time. Oil paintings offer richer depth, subtle blending, and a luminous finish that develops character as it ages. Every painting is made on medium-grain cotton canvas, pre-primed with gesso for good paint adhesion. The canvas is stretched over kiln-dried wooden stretcher bars for domestic orders, or shipped rolled in protective tubes for international ones. Keep it out of direct sunlight and high humidity, avoid touching the surface, and your Loka Loka painting will hold its colour for decades.

12. Will there be slight variations in the paintings?

Yes, and that is what makes each Loka Loka painting special. Since every artwork is hand-painted to order rather than printed by a machine, no two pieces are exactly alike. You may notice small differences in brushwork, colour mixing, texture, and fine detail compared to the product photos on our website. These variations are a hallmark of handmade art, and they are what separate an original painting from a mass-produced print. The overall composition, colour palette, and design stay consistent with what you see online. The handmade process just gives your piece its own character. No two handwritten letters look identical, and that same human touch is what gives handmade art its warmth and value.
